Description: Dr. Patrick Krantz will introduce you to the Westminster Bee Company, a student run company at Westminster College that bottles and sells honey as well as bee related products from their campus based apiary. He will cover the basics of beekeeping from starting a new hive, honey production, management strategies, and preparing for winter. In addition to bee ecology and life history he will also discuss the observation hive project at Jennings.
