About Us 

The Moraine, McConnell’s Mill, and Jennings Commission (3MJC) is on a mission! We are a community 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing support for Moraine and McConnells Mill State Parks and for Jennings Environmental Education Center. Our mission is to enhance the appearance and function of these parks and to help educate the public and park visitors on park operations. 

 

Work to support our mission includes:

• Advocating for the parks by providing educational opportunities for the public and working to enhance park visitor experience

• Preserving park resources

• Managing native plants and animals

• Providing citizen input to decisions on park operations

• Raising funds for park projects and activities

 

Our work is vital to sustaining these treasured natural resources. We invite you to become an active participant in our mission to support and enhance our region’s state parks. We offer many ways to participate. Visit “Get Involved” to learn about the ways you can participate and to decide which best fits your skills and schedule.

 

If you’d like to learn more about our activities before you decide how best to participate, we’d love to have you join us at our regular monthly meeting. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month between March/April and October at 7 p.m. at Jennings Environmental Education Center in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.
